The League of Women Voters of Maine opposes Question 1 because it is a form of voter suppression. Learn more about Question 1 here. \nPurpose of this workshop: \nThe Save Maine Absentee Voting campaign is leading the effort against Question 1. One key way to reach Mainers is through local newspapers. We need to inform our communities about Question 1 so that everyone understands what’s at stake. Voting rights\, and absentee voting\, are on the line. The purpose of this workshop is to guide you through the Letter to the Editor (LTE) writing process. \nYou will learn: \n\nHow to write a LTE on Question 1\nHow to submit to your local paper\nHow to encourage others to write LTEs\n\nThis workshop is hosted on Zoom.
