SUMMARY:Artivism in Maine - InhuMAINE: Film & Discussion
DESCRIPTION:Rogan O’Donnell\, MS\, is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling\, founder of Common Ground Friends—a 501(c)(3) behavioral and mental health nonprofit—and the documentarian behind InhuMAINE\, a 78-minute feature-length film exploring homelessness\, behavioral\, mental\, and physical health issues\, resilience\, and systemic neglect in Bangor\, Maine\, a microcosum to the country. \nWith over three decades in recovery and extensive experience in co-occurring behavioral and mental health\, O’Donnell integrates existential trauma-informed\, person-centered\, and humanistic approaches in both clinical and community settings. His work bridges counseling\, social entrepreneurship\, and advocacy—merging ACA ethics with narrative practice to humanize marginalized populations and foster systems change. \nThrough InhuMAINE and his clinical training\, O’Donnell models an integrative path of ethical engagement\, empathy\, and social responsibility\, inviting all of us to view helping relationships as both personal and systemic acts of compassion. \nInhuMAINE is a 78-minute feature documentary filmed over 19 months that reveals the intersection of homelessness\, mental illness\, addiction\, and stigma in Bangor\, Maine. This session integrates counseling theory with documentary storytelling to explore how trauma-informed\, narrative-based\, and system-level interventions promote healing and advocacy. Through selected film clips\, clinical reflection\, and discussion\, participants will examine ethical dilemmas\, resilience narratives\, and collaborative care across behavioral and mental health. Grounded in ACA ethical principles and CACREP standards\, InhuMAINE provides a framework for seeing\, hearing\, and honoring those too often rendered invisible.

SUMMARY:Walkout for our Freedoms
DESCRIPTION:2025 was a year of marches that proved our collective strength. And the threats have grown so we must too. The MAGA Regime has already signaled that a second term means a deeper and more open wave of misogyny\, racism\, xenophobia\, and violence than the first. This moment calls for escalated commitment from our movement. \nOn January 20 at 2 PM local time\, we will walk out of work\, school\, and commerce because a Free America begins the moment we stop cooperating with fascism. \nWe walk away from fascism.\nWe walk towards a Free America.\nWe fight for a future that belongs to us all.\nEverybody in\, nobody out.\n \nFor updates & resources: Free America
