HDCD September Meeting: Nina Milliken with Jan Collins
Our guests will be Representative Nina Milliken with Jan Collins, a retired teacher who serves on the Board of Visitors for Franklin County Jail and acts as a liaison with the prison branch of the NAACP.
Ms Collins’ presentation will answer the question, “I’ve never been arrested, why should I care?” She will explain how the criminal legal system touches all of us.
Representative Milliken works on criminal legal reform bills in her work in the Maine House of Representatives and will explain why she thinks this work is so important.
This month’s meeting will be held both in person at the UU Church in Ellsworth and via Zoom.
