Municipal Committees

Get Involved at the Local Level

Hancock County’s Municipal Committees play an important role within each of our communities organizing at the grassroots level and helping to support Democratic candidates and policies locally. 

Our Municipal Committees (Munis): 

• Help develop and recruit Democrats for local, state, and federal offices.
• Help with voter registration drives. 
• Organize canvassing, postcard events, rallies, sign and button making and other activities.
• Organize Rapid Response teams to quickly address issues affecting our communities.
• Write Letters To the Editor promoting policies and candidates.
• Keep residents informed about issues, elections, and meetings.
• Elect State Delegates for election-year caucuses. 

Serving on a town committee is a great way to share your ideas, learn how local government works, and help guide decisions that affect everyone. Hancock County Munis are always looking for residents willing to lend their time and perspective—your voice can make a real difference.
